We cast an epicurean, quirky, joyful and urban eye over fooding. We do not aim at saving nor feeding the world.

The food desert problem could be a cause for bad eating habits in the USA : huge undeserved areas lack shops offering fresh products. A group of Seattle entrepreneurs has come up with one solution and created  Stockbox Grocers, a pop-up grocery store made out of a shipping container. They adapted  it into a mobile food emporium, packed with fresh products and other staples. This grocery-container aims at serving communities that do not have access to an abundant food offer. A lot of people who come in are breaking down the myth that people of low income don’t want access to organic or natural food says founder Carrie Ferrence. Stockbox Grocers start with a prototype store in a parking lot in a neighborhood where corner stores are the only source of food and plan to open 4 more by the end of next year.
